Around Tooting station

Tooting station used to be called Tooting Junction, and many people still use the name for the streets around it, off Mitcham Road on the southern side of Tooting.

Getting around

Tooting station is on the Thameslink loop, with trains to Wimbledon and through central London. Tooting Broadway on the Northern line is a short walk away, and Colliers Wood station is close by.

The homes

Victorian and Edwardian terraces fill most streets, with some flats and newer homes, often at lower prices than closer to Tooting Broadway.

For landlords

Good value and quick links to the Northern line and Thameslink make the area popular with tenants, including staff at St George's Hospital. The streets here sit close to the boundary between Wandsworth and Merton, so check which borough your property is in and that council's licensing rules before you let.

For sellers

Buyers often come here when Tooting Broadway is out of reach. A sensible price and clear details on the walk to both stations will help.
